Our camp staff is one of the best parts of camp!
These young women complete a thorough application process, where they submit a written application, submit multiple references attesting to their abilities and character, participate in an interview with our camp director, have a background check and sex offender check completed, and complete a week long training alongside other staff. Not only do these ladies love working with children and youth, but they love the Lord! This shines through in all they do, and our campers leave camp each summer forever impacted by their ministry and Christian example.

BUSINESS & MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Troy Coates has been serving as our camp business/maintenance manger since 1999. Prior to his time at Camp La Vida, Troy served in the National Guard.
He along with his wife, Flory (who manages the camp kitchen) and son Austin live at camp and take care of everything there. From cabin maintenance to landscaping to budgeting, Troy uses his abilities to keep camp running smoothly so campers can enjoy their stay.
Troy is also grateful for volunteers who come throughout the year and on workdays to help maintain camp and complete special projects. He and his family are currently members at Great Falls Baptist.
