get to know Camp La Vida
Camp La VidaSM is a missions discipleship camp located in the White Oak community between Winnsboro and Chester in Fairfield County, SC. Owned and operated by Woman’s Missionary Union, Auxiliary to South Carolina Baptist ConventionSM, it has served Southern Baptist churches in our state since 1983.
Summer camps are open to all girls 3rd-12th (mother/daughter camps 1st-3rd grade), the minicamps are open to 2nd graders.
Camp dates are June through July, with specific camps for different ages.
Camp La Vida is also open for use by churches in cooperation with the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
We are a fully staffed summer camp and everyone 18 years old and up must complete a background check before coming onto the camp grounds.
Camp La Vida has concern for the well-being of every camper. Camp La Vida is not equipped or staffed to handle camper’s disabilities that require more support than we possess. Camp La Vida does have a nurse at camp to assist with medication and when campers aren’t feeling well. For the safety of a person with special needs, as well as for fellow campers, please consult the camp Program Director, Cindy Skelton, at 803-227-6208.
