Mothers/guardians attending a Mother/Daughter camp session, GA Leaders attending a GA Leader Track, and all campers 18 years and older are required to complete a background check at least one week prior to their camp date. Instructions on how to complete the background check will be mailed in your camper packet. Mothers, GA leaders and campers 18 years and older cannot attend camp without a background check.
Should an emergency arise that prevents you from accompanying your camper or group, the substitute camper/adult is required to complete a background screening. Contact Brittany Prahl at 803.227.6205 or firstname.lastname@example.org. if you have a last minute substitute who needs a background check.
Cancellations, Substitutions, and Refunds
Camp La Vida gives full refunds to full balance payments to those who provide a doctor’s excuse. Refunds requested after a background check has been processed will be less the $6 fee. Substitutions are allowed up until seven calendar days before a camp session’s start date. As space allows, campers may transfer to another session within the same calendar year.
Contact Cindy Skelton at 803.227.6208 or email@example.com if you need to substitute, transfer, or cancel a camper’s registration.
Confirmations and Camper Packets
Camper confirmations and packets will be mailed after April 15, 2019. Please allow time for them to be mailed. The camper packet includes a list of what to bring, registration card, a map to camp, and general information. It is best to distribute camper packets closer to the camp session dates to prevent packets from being lost. If you need a replacement camper packet, you can download a new packet.
GA Leader Track
Now GA leaders can choose to come to camp to attend Girls in Action leader training while their campers experience camp! GA leaders will have a great time learning, experiencing the great outdoors, and feeling prepared for the new church year.
GA leaders will be housed separately from campers. A background check is required for all GA leaders. Must be a GA leader at your church to attend. Registration fees apply to GA leaders. GA leaders are not required in order for campers to attend.
